After a warm greeting at your Costa del Sol accommodation, we drive you through the luscious, green Guadlhorce valley, where just about everything grows, to the award winning wineries in Álora and Mollina. Once an important region for the cultivation of the Pedro Ximenez grape, producing mainly sweet white wines, now the focus here has shifted to higher quality and smaller yields, resulting in award-winning wines ranging in style from sweet whites to full bodied reds.
Antequera is home to the “El Torcal”, famous for the capricious shapes of its limestone rocks, which make up one of the most important karst landscapes in Europe. This natural site, together with the dolmens Menga, Viera, El Romeral and the Peña de Los Enamorados, make up the so-called Dolmen Site of Antequera, declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 2016.
